PRESS RELEASE Tony Zirkle for Congress

Jobs, Health Care, Afghanistan & Gas Prices will be the topic of my April 30, 2008 Press Conference at my South Bend Law Office at 110 N. Main Street at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.

I. JOBS

1. Take Immigration Seriously & Defend the Hard Working Class

Taking immigration seriously would create more jobs for Americans. We now have 12-20,000,000 illegals in this nation. For every job an illegal alien takes, it steals one from a U.S. citizen. Additionally, illegal aliens put a downward pressure on the pay scale for the hard working middle and struggling classes. Republicans need to start caring more about the plight of the hard working class who share many of the same pro-family values that the social conservative Republicans do about abortion, pornography-prostitution, and crime.

2. Promote U.S. Manufacturing

We can entice more manufacturing companies to the U.S. by lowering the 2nd highest world corporate tax rate from 35% to 25% for manufacturing facilities for 5 years with a possibility of renewal. Manufacturing ability is a national security risk that can not be out-sourced over-seas.

We now sit at an opportune time to re-invigorate the manufacturing base of this nation because of the declining value of the dollar which in this regard is a benefit because American products will be cheaper and more appealing over-seas.

3. Make America Business Friendly

We should consider temporarily suspending Sarbanes-Oxley, federal jurisdiction of employment lawsuits when the states have similar remedies since defending federal suits are far more expensive, and look for other ways to make American more business friendly and that would lower the costs of doing business.

II. HEALTH CARE

1. Limit Insurers Liability

I’m proposing a national health insurance plan that would limit an insurer’s yearly liability to $100,000 so that we can take the few catastrophic claims out of the system. For student insurance, as of a few years ago, a family could buy a plan for $2,000 a year. Maybe with this plan we could cut the health insurance family costs to $4,000 or so from the $6,000 to $8,000 it costs now. I currently don’t have the resources to have accurate facts.

The catastrophic claims could be funded by putting some of our 2 million prisoners to work or by reintroducing the payroll social security tax for the top 1% of incomes over $250,000 and keep the donut hole for no payroll tax from $90-100,000 up to the $250,000.

2. Live Well, Pay Less

The economics of many issues very much rely on supply and demand, and for some issues, so does the value of the dollar. If we want to increase the availability of health care, maybe we should subsidize medical and nursing schools. If we want to reduce the demand, we should live healthier lives so that we get sick less often. Also, taking immigration seriously and deporting trespassers would reduce the demand for health care.

We could promote living healthier lives, for example, by encouraging vegetarianism. Humans have very long digestive tracts and were not designed to be meat eaters like some of the animal kingdom who have shorter digestive tracts. Many of the diseases we encounter are related to poor diet and infected meats.

3. Stopping Frivolous Suits is only a small part

In this article, the Republican position is taken to task for lack of evidence.

http://www.slate.com/id/2145400/

Republicans need to do their home work on health care or be prepared to get hit hard on this issue in the fall. We could take the position that health care is a state right reserved to the states under the 9th and 10th Amendments and that we believe in small government. However, there is a growing public demand for affordable health care, so we need an honest debate; otherwise, we will lose a significant block of voters.

Courts already have measures to stop and punish frivolous lawsuits through Trial Rule 56 Summary Judgment proceedings which can be filed as early as 30 days after a suit is filed or through Rule 11 Sanctions.

Indiana already has additional protections for health costs because Republican Governor “Doc” Bowen set up the medical malpractice review panel where no one can sue for medical malpractice until they go first to the review panel with 3 panelists. Their opinion gets admitted into evidence and if all 3 say it was not malpractice the judge will through out the case on Summary Judgment unless the plaintiff can pay (5,000 to 10,000) for an expert who says it was malpractice.

I have referred scores and probably hundreds of medical malpractice claims to other medical malpractice specialists over the last 4 years. I don’t recall any of these attorneys taking a single one of my referred cases. It is so expensive for a law firm to litigate medical malpractice cases that small firms like mine don’t take them and the more experienced ones screen them with a fine tooth comb.

My opponent has said he wants to expand coverage to a multi-state area. He’ll have to explain that issue better. Are we expected to drive from South Bend to Chicago to save $20 on a doctor’s visit? That would make any sense with the cost of gas.

III. AFGHANISTAN, DRUG NARCO-STATES & GAS PRICES

We need an economic plan for Afghanistan. Military ops alone will not solve the issues.

1. Opium Drug Trade – to – Legal Pharmaceutical Narcotic Manufacturing

We need to consider an opium plan that worked in Turkey and apply it to Afghanistan. What Turkey did is to buy up a sizeable portion of the illegal opium farm crops and use the opium to manufacture legitimate medical uses for narcotics. A narcotic is defined as an opium derivative. (My experience as a drug dealing prosecutor in Elkhart, Lake & St. Joseph Counties taught me that).

http://www.hri.org/docs/USSD-INCSR/97/Europe/Turkey.html

http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/Afghans-should-join-the-legal-opium-system/2007/08/31/1188067368259.html

For every legitimate farm diverted to the licit manufacturing of legal medicines, there will be one less farm to funnel funds to the Taliban and other terrorist organizations.

Afghanistan could be one of the major suppliers of narcotics for China, Indian and Southeast Asia.

We would need to rent or buy from Pakistan a 6 lane highway with a dual rail system from the closest practical point in Afghanistan to the Indian Ocean so that the Afghans could get their goods to international markets more efficiently.

2. Ethanol Afghanistan

We could also transform many of the opium farms to ethanol producing ones. We have see that a rise in ethanol use has contributed to the sudden rise in food prices.

We must not forget the economic principles of supply and demand. With 2 economics degrees from Andrews (business economics) and Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (international economics), I’m well aware of this fact.

Afghanistan could be a major supplier to India, China and Southern and Central Asia for the alternative fuel source of ethanol. This policy would reduce the demand India and China are exerting on oil and gas prices worldwide. Thus, the price push of a reduced demand would be lessened and gas prices would fall.

Press Release: Tony Zirkle for Congress

1. Zirkle goes on TV

I will be running a 1 minute tv commercial on Fox cable throughout the district starting Wednesday, April 30 and continuing on May 1, 2, 5 and in the morning on May 6. Winamac Comcast does not have Fox so it’ll be on CNN. The commercial will also run on WNDU Channel 16 during the news at 6:30-7:00 am, 6-6:30 pm, and 11-11:35 pm on May 1, May 2, May 5 and in the morning on May 6. That cost me $14,701, and since I’m completely self-funded here and am not accepting contributions, it wiped me out for a couple of days. If I have a good work week, I’ll add Channels 22 and 28; however, I’m a bit busy right now. The transcript is pasted below and is on my Web site at www.tonyzirkle.com/campaign.

“Hello, I’m Tony Zirkle, Republican Candidate for Congress

Some of you have been deeply offended at my campaign tactics, and for inciting your legitimate feelings, I am truly sorry and do apologize.

However, it is my sincere hope that some day that many of you will finally realize why I had to do what I did because the Republican non-leadership would not let Toth, Chocola, or this new good-hearted guy, who seems to help his opponents almost every time he attacks less than fully cocked, debate me fairly in the public square.

You have to fight with the weapons you have.

The truth is that I only said I’d be willing to debate, in stage 4, “the idea” of the guillotine for 4 or more time serial pre-aged 12 child rapists.

Self-determination slavery reparation segregation is a human right honored in International law and is neither racist nor bigoted. What could be less loving than to ignore the high crime, single parent and std rates in that community?

No father of 3 beautiful Jewish Christian children (their mother converted) is going to be voting to gas innocent ones.

If you want a politician, you’ll have to vote for someone else. If you want a statesman in training, you’ll have to just hold your nose, take a risk and vote for Tony Zirkle on May 6 because I’m the only one on the ballot.

Please visit my campaign site.

I’m Tony Zirkle and this pro-life, anti-porn message now stands approved.”

I had to cut “National Socialists deserve the Gospel as much as communist or anyone else and white people have a right to defend themselves against the targeted sexual exploitation of their youth.”

2. TONY ZIRKLE Called by MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann World’s 2nd Worst Person in the World!

Last week, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann on his Countdown show called me the world’s 2nd worst person after Bill O’Reilly and ahead of John McCain. What cracks me up is that he showed the picture of me presenting the Gospel book, “The Desire of Ages” to the National Socialists. You know that America and its liberal dominated media have become morally bankrupt when you are called the second worst person in the world for trying to present Jesus to a group the media claims is filled with hate.

So, let me get this straight. The liberal media believes that evangelizing Nazis is more evil than suicide bombers, child rapists, drug dealers, murders, torturers and yes even porn-pimps. Maybe those national socialists have a point that WWII was really about liberalism and communism dominating the world and that it was an assault on Christian civilization. Was the bipolar Churchhill possibly deceived? Was America? Didn’t General Patton say that we should have been fighting the Russian communists instead? How many people died after WWII because of the new communist threat that Patton said we should not have tolerated. On the other hand, communism gave us Russian brides and capitalism gave us porn stars. Oh, that’s tmi (too much info). Maybe asking these questions will get me ranked #1. Anyway, here’s the link:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=MPxOY7l0Brg

3. Tony Zirkle to hold Press Conferences on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 1:00 pm and Friday, May 2, 2008 at 11:00 pm in my South Bend law office at 110 N. Main St. South Bend, IN  46601.

I had previously stated on my Web site that I had intentional designed this campaign to lose so that I could enjoy my summer. However, I also stated that if I hear one more single mother tell me she gets treated worse than a dog, I’d consider cleaning up my act and campaigning to win. It may be too late now, but believe it or not, a potential family law client last week told me, “You don’t treat a dog that way.”

Accordingly, I am going to have to eat my words, polish up my protest campaign and try to make this campaign race somewhat competitive.

At these press conferences, I will field any questions the media has and will begin discussing my economic platform. I have two economics degrees from Andrews in business economics and from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in International Economics. What a nice educational complement I could be to a presidential contender who got busted for saying he doesn’t know much about the economy. Maybe being top 5% at Annapolis will allow me to work my way up to 5th from the bottom of McCain’s VP list. Oh, the things Saturday Night Live could do with me. Admiral Stockdale was fun, but I bet I could provide even more entertainment value with my history.

4. Zirkle to Hold Town Hall Meeting at Penn High School on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

I will be holding another town hall meeting at Penn High School on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The meeting will be in the Large Group Instruction Room A which is straight back and as you curve to the left from the Bittersweet Road visitor’s entrance.

5. Zirkle on Pastor Jeremiah Wright

Article VI, Section 3 of our Constitution states, “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.”

For the record, I do not support the media’s over-emphasis on who Sen. Obama chose as his pastor. If we go down this road, we will disqualify a large percentage of our population. Are we going to start judging candidates by their religious beliefs? The history of conflicts between Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Jews, Hindus and others is so complex that it could consume almost any political race and nothing else would get accomplished.

I took black preaching in the seminary, so I understand somewhat the difference in flavor that the African American community prefers. While the book of Micah exhorts us to walk humbly with our God, my impression is that black preaching is very often rooted in arrogant pride and too rarely focuses on moving its parishioners to help themselves by disciplining their lifestyles. However, we have to understand the oppressed history of that community and should give them some slack.

Pastor Wright and Sen. Obama have the right to their 1st Amendment freedom of religion and an over-emphasis on one’s religion in a political campaign calls into question the separation of church and state.

6. Zirkle to hold Rally at the South Bend Courthouse steps on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 12:00 pm to 1:00.

I will be holding a rally (perhaps a one man) on Saturday, may 3, 2008 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the South Bend Courthouse steps. I will march around the court house square 7 times and then present a speech. I’m still working on the topic.

I’ve always been fascinated with studying how public speakers in centuries past could project their voices without microphones. There’s a famous story of Benjamin Franklin testing the projection of George Whitfield. http://www.pioneernet.net/rbrannan/whitefield/bfongw.htm

I always wanted to be Brigade Adjutant at Annapolis and sound off at parades. I may take the opportunity to sound off a passage from Revelation 14:8. C.f. Isaiah 21;9, Jer. 51:8, Rev. 18:2. I’m a bit out of practice on voice projection so we’ll see.

PRESS RELEASE

Zirkle Responds to Death Threats

During this past week, my e-mail box and cell phone have been repeatedly spammed with threats calling me names including multiple ones using the phrase “Nazi bastard” and have included multiple death threats. I’m still not sure what “bastard” has to do with Nazi.

Those who criticize me should also be complaining about President Jimmy Carter, another Naval Academy ex-Midshipman, who laid a wreath at Arafat’s tomb and who has spoken to Hamas recently. The difference between politicians and statesmen is that politicians slander their opponents and refuse to debate them because of the risk that the public will see who is truly the most qualified candidate. Peace makers have to take risks. Politicians tell their enemies whom they disagree to talk to their hand and ignore them. Statesmen engage in dialogue to try to change or re-direct the views of those whom the media paints as hate groups.

I love my country as much as anyone. The Zirkles have fought in every major war in this nation, including both sides of the Civil War, since the Revolution in the 1700s.

You might know if you’ve seen the video of my speech, that I began my speech by distributing an entire box of books on the life of Christ entitled “The Desire of Ages.” I believe that socialists deserve the Gospel as much as anyone and some of them might need it more than most.

Had the European community enforced laws against prostitution and pornography, Hitler would not have had one of his most powerful arguments, that Jews cartelled 97% of all international prostitution, and perhaps his following would have been less powerful. Without porn (a broad term that includes prostitution), WWII may have never happened.

I’m getting my fair share of death threats. I would gladly give my life in a fraction of a heart beat if it would eliminate porn-prostitution from this nation (We had 100,000 Web sites linked to child porn by 2001 after the Customs Department engaged in Operation Blue Orchid); however, I’m quite sure the porn dragon is far too powerful for me to make any real difference other than the temporary attention I can draw to it from my protest campaign.

I am very concerned about history repeating itself in the next anti-Jewish pogrom, and both Christian and Islamic prophecy can be interpreted in a manner that predicts that another one is coming in the future when the two religions will unite for once. People can lie about my motives, jump to wild conclusions, and slander me all they want; however, my position against the great porn dragon is correct and will be defended to the death.

I suspect though, that the porn dragon is far to smart to execute me at this time. If he did, there is a small chance that the public would connect my assassination to my stand against the porn dragon cults and that the public might actually wake up and realize this national security threat. No, more likely, the porn dragon will attack my loved ones, my friends, my job, my law license, my finances and my reputation in the community. Many of those attacks have already started.

The porn dragon will likely also start sending multiple women, or at least rumors of them, my way to create scandals that will be leaked to the press so that he can discredit me for being a hypocrite just like Governor Spitzer and many other strong men who fell.

Very truly yours,

The prime issue in this campaign is whether or not American will continue to tolerate the porn dragon capitalists who are abusing our children, destroying our economy from within, and who are inspiring our enemies abroad.
In 1993, the Republicans had every major obscenity distributor under investigation or indictment. Clinton fired every federal obscenity prosecutor except for one, and by 2001, the Customs Department declared that the Internet contained about 100,000 Web sites linked to child porn.
The Supreme Court has consistently defended the porn dragon capitalists by abusing their power under the so called “right” of judicial review that even the democrat Thomas Jefferson protest against in boycotting the hearing for Marbury v. Madison in 1803. Both houses of Congress with a super-majority 80% + vote along with the executive should be able to over-rule individual legal decisions without the need of a constitutional amendment so that there can be a practical check on the judicial branch power.
The effects of the porn plague are already being documented by the Centers for Disease Control. The CDC predicts that 80% of all American women will acquire the HPV std by age 50 and that 30% of all white and Hispanic and 50% of all African-American teens between 14 and 19 have already acquired at least one sexually transmitted disease.
Porn-prostitution destroys our economy when workers surf Internet porn instead of producing for their employers. Porn teaches our youth to engage in risky behaviors that create unnecessary health care costs and unwanted pregnancies. We then have to raise taxes to pay for the often government funded Medicaid insurance and the price we pay for 40% of all children in Indiana who are born out of wedlock. Add the bills for prosecutors, judges, court staff and jails to collect, enforce, and incarcerate those who don’t pay their child support.
American porn inspires groups like Al-Qaeda who claim the Americans “invade the chastity” of our daughters and that unless they fight us, Americans will do the same to theirs.
With two economics degrees, including a foreign service degree from Georgetown, a law degree from I.U. and seminary training, I have the best education to represent Hoosiers. As a Naval Academy Midshipman who was ranked in the top 5%, as a former law clerk and deputy prosecutor in 4 of the 5 largest counties in this state who has practiced criminal and family law in 11 out of the 12 counties in the 2nd District, I have the best experience to lead the charge in Congress to reform our society.
