Press Release: Tony Zirkle for Congress

Zirkle’s Current Schedule for the last 3 weeks of the primary

Here is my current schedule of events for the last 3 weeks prior to the May 6, 2008 Republican Congressional Primary. On www.TonyZirkle.com/campaign, I have posted my press release on Abortion Reforms. I have also discussed my Afghanistan plan with the South Bend Tribune, but I have yet to find the time to reduce it to writing. Generally, I want Afghans to be the central South Asian supplier of opium narcotic pharmaceuticals and purchase through Pakistan a route to the Indiana Ocean. A similar heroin to pharmaceutical program has had success in Turkey. Feel free to contact me for more details.

1. Saturday, April 5, 2008 - 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm – Mishawaka High School Auditorium – Successfully completed.

April 13, 2008 Voice of the People – South Bend Tribune
Ninety minutes flew by and left me wishing for much more time.

Two gentlemen engaged in a political debate could not have been more knowledgeable, interesting and refreshingly open than were Tony Zirkle and Joe Roush, at their debate April 5 at Mishawaka High School. The two are GOP 2nd District congressional candidates.

Give me leaders who think outside the box, have the courage to express their ideas and the heart to find solutions, not excuses. When you have an opportunity to discover them, take it.” [Name removed]

2. Thursday, April 17, 2008 - 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm – Carroll County High School in Flora, Indiana in the gymnasium. This will be a town hall meeting where the public is invited to ask me questions.  Successfully completed.  I got stuck in slow Indianapolis traffic and was about 10-15 minutes late.  A student from I.U. Bloomington and I had a lively discussion about campaign issues.

3. Friday, April 18, 2008 - 6:30 pm – Critchfield School, 336 W. Johnson Road, Laporte, IN. League of Women Voters will host a candidates forum.

4. Saturday, April 19, 2008 - 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm – Logansport High School Auditorium. Co-Candidate Mr. Roush “withdrew” from all debates on or about April 7. He then on or about May 9, e-mailed me and said that if I apologized to African-Americans he would consider debating me in Logansport. This will now be a town hall meeting, although I have it set up so that the other candidates can debate me if they appear.   This is confirmed.

5. Monday, April 21, 2008 - 1:00 p.m. – 110 N. Main St., South Bend, IN. Press Conference. I will be releasing Part I of my position on the “War on Terror” I will also reveal my 2nd middle name, HVFVGPD which another candidate’s campaign manager guessed correctly. Finally, the original 1st Edition Penthouse magazine will be shredded so long as two reporters and 1 television station from the press attends. If the press turns out in mass (unlikely), I have a source who may be willing to donate a complete or near complete set of Penthouses.

6. Wednesday, April 23, 2008 – 7:00 pm. I am working on setting up another Town Hall meeting at Rochester High School at 7:00 pm. This is not confirmed yet.

7. Friday, April 25, 2008 – 12:30 pm. Eagle 96.7 FM and 1540 AM WLOI in LaPorte, IN. I will be taking live questions from callers from the LaPorte radio station..

8. Saturday, April 26 – Sunday, April 27, 2008 - All day – U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. I have a tentative trip planned to conduct some filming for future television political ads at schools where I attended and developed some of my political views.

9. Wednesday, April 30, 2008 - 1:00 pm. 110 N. Main St., South Bend, IN 46601 Press Conference on yet undecided topic.

10. Wednesday April 30, 2008 and Saturday, May 3, 2008 - 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. Century Center/Penn High/Plymouth High. I’m working on setting up two more Town Hall meetings. There is no confirmation of these dates at this time. Stay tuned.

11.  Thursday, May 1, 2008.  I will not be conducting the ask a lawyer program on WNIT.  The cost was $6,000 and I was informed that because I’m running for office, I can not appear on the program.   The City of South Bend requires a $5,000,000 insurance policy which will cost me $5,000 for a one hour event.  I’m looking for cheaper insurance and I have to have the policy by April 28 to get approval.

12. Saturday, May 3, 2008 - 12:00 p.m. noon to 1:00 p.m. South Bend Court House block. I am working on a final campaign event on as a march around the South Bend court house and county-city building on the side walk. I”m hoping to recruit 25-50 marchers. If you are a member of a pro-life and/or anti-porn dragon organization and would like to march, please let me know ASAP. I will give my 2nd phase of the War on Terror with a speech on the South Bend court house steps that is currently titled, “I Perceive a Nation.” The title will likely change.

1. What is the biggest challenge facing the office you are seeking?

Congress should place a check and balance on the U.S. Supreme Court by allowing both houses with a super majority along with the executive to over-rule legal decisions. The Court is obstructing justice with its porn-prostitution defending decisions which destroys families, leads to drug addiction, crime, higher taxes, and terrorism.

2. What will be your top priority once you take office?

The CDC predicts 80% of women will acquire the HPV STD by age 50 and 30-50% of all teens 14-19 have had at least 1 STD. Forty percent of all children in Indiana are born out-of-wedlock, and we’ve tripled our prisons since 1975. I’m going after the Porn Dragon who authors this.

3. What changes need to be made in the office you are seeking?

We need mandatory debates for candidates who earned 10% or more in a prior campaign. Congressmen should be able to vote by proxy via their staff. Each legislation should have only related material attached. Congress should move to Chattanooga, Tennessee. Pork barrel earmark tax wasting must stop.

Age: 38

DOB:

1. What’s the best solution to the conflict in Iraq?

The best solution? Stop glorifying adultery by enshrining neo-Baal porn worship in the heart of the 1st Amendment. Porn-adultery appoints “terror” to us. Lev. 26:16. Remember, slave-raping extended the Civil War.

2. Select the option that best describes your position on illegal immigration.

If we want immigration fixed, the absolute critical issue is to secure local concurrent jurisdiction to enforce immigration laws with no bond holds. I would compromise on almost all for that.

3. Explain your position on the rising price of oil.

We need a LaPorte Co. U.S. Civil Service Academy where the masters and doctorate students and researchers will have an unobstructed key to the patent office for energy technological development.

4. What are your feelings on government surveillance programs the administration says are designed to help catch terrorists?

The problem lies with the judicial branch’s invention of the exclusionary rule. We need to exempt the exclusionary rule for murder and attempted murder (ie terrorism) investigations. Differ the surveillance by the crime.

5. Select the option that best describes your opinion of climate change.

If more of us were vegetarians, fewer livestock would be putting methane in the atmosphere. If families stayed together, we could dramatically cut down on the demand for housing and the natural resources involved.

6. What can or should be done about the sub-prime mortgage situation?

The Constitution states:”No State shall … pass any … Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts.” We can cut usury rates for credit cards to 18% and cut negative credit reporting from 10 to 2 years.

7. How would you keep Indiana jobs from going overseas or out-of-state?

Cut the world’s second highest corporate tax rate for businesses who do not pay their highest paid earner more than 15 times the lowest. This includes CEOs and professional athletes.

8. What is the role of labor unions in the state’s economy?

Labor unions defend the middle class, ensure that workers’ are not exploited, strengthen the voice of the working class, and provide a sense of teamwork when they might otherwise feel helpless.

9. How can more Hoosiers have access to higher education?

Education is primarily a state issue. If the federal government declared war on porn, families would stick together, drug addiction then crime then taxes would decrease to free money for education.

10. Has the No Child Left Behind act improved Indiana schools? If not, how would you change it?

Vague question. The federal government’s role in education is constitutionally suspect since education is a traditional police power reserved to the state and local communities under the 9th and 10th Amendments.
