Democrat Party Platform

The anti-family and abortion on demand agendas that have hijacked the democratic party are historically and logically indefensible in my opinion. No society on record has ever survived that has openly welcomed a destruction of the marriage relationship. We would do well to learn from the French Revolution. It started with a great disparity between the rich and the poor and a high incarceration rate. The French stormed the Bastille, made marriage nothing but a civil contract and a reign of terror ensued with the eventual establishment of the dictator Napoleon who instituted the first mass draft.

However, with a degree in business economics from Andrews and one in foreign service international economics from Georgetown, I have to concede that the democrats are not all wrong when it comes to economics.

For instance, economists speak of the backward bending labor supply curve. It basically theorizes that if an individual makes too much money, at some point, he/she will choose to work and produce less because leisure becomes more attractive. They have so much money that they would rather spend it than earn more. The Republican Party platform is promoting the increasing disparity between the wealthy and the poor when billionaire investors only have to pay 15% capital gains rates. The minimum wage earner pays more than that, 15.3%, between him and his employer in just payroll taxes. The billionaire income tax rate used to be 96%. Now it is capped at 35%. I will vote for no more tax cuts for billionaires, especially when we have a 7 trillion dollar debt and a 500 billion deficit. These deficits have contributed to a 30% devaluation of the dollar against the Euro in the last two years. From one view, the Republicans are actually raising taxes by devaluing the dollar.

If you have voted democratic before and you do not agree with everything it is promoting, you are invited to vote for me in the primary. If you vote democrat based on economics, jobs or health care, you can safely vote for me in the primary.
