I would vote make the tax cuts permanent except for the top 1-2% of incomes so that the middle class can be strengthened. Additional tax cuts while deficits are maintained cannot be defended and will serve only to increase government borrowing which will increase the demand on money and raise interest rates.

I would also propose that taxes be an issue on the table for Congress only every other year so that other matters can be accomplished. The constant changing of the tax code creates a mass of waste in accounting, tax preparation and litigation.
